Whether traveling by land, sea or air, the trip to Föhr is uncomplicated. No matter how you choose to get to Dagebüll, your vacation starts with the sighting of the first sheep on the dike!
By car
Follow the signs to Dagebüll and you’ll arrive directly at the pier for the ferry to Föhr. You can take the A23 from Hamburg to Heide and then the B5 via Husum and to Dagebüll, or the A7 from Hamburg toward Flensburg and the exit at Schleswig-Schuby or Harrislee. Should you decide to leave your car on the mainland, a long-term parking lot is available in Dagebüll. If you’d like to take your car over to the island, please make a reservation for the ferry in advance.

By train
The trains to Dagebüll stop directly at the pier—just a few steps away from the ferry. In the summer months, the “Deutsche Bahn AG” offers some trains with cars that drive directly to Dagebüll.
By plane
Arriving by plane will surely give you a wonderful first impression of the island. Our small airport is designed to accomodate private planes. Visit the airport’s website at flughafen-foehr.de. Next bigger airport is on the neighbour island sylt (Airport)
